Wont take me long to get up and make the coffee and the sandwiches, is 8 o clock OK or do you want to start any earlier? ;)

I havn't said yes, simply because it takes us at least 3 hours to get there (we have tried most ways to get there and havn't found a quick one), and the last time I said I'd meet Paul there I think we rolled up at about 2pm =)) =))
So if we go we'll be in the Lakenheath viewing area =))
That's the best I can do :)) :))

I don't know, because I've never been, but, by all accounts, you don't see much from the viewing area due to the mahoosive wire fence.

You see enough from there Gaz and can always walk to the road for a better view as well. It does depend which way the wind is blowing of course.

And it rains :p
And a pigeon poos on you :p
And, and, I can't think of anything else :p :))

No, Bacon stew with Dumplings, but has the same effect as curry :D :D :D

*stays on-topic before the forum police arrive*

LH viewing area is nice as it's very spacious (when they bother opening it) but it is definately a place for stepladders (which will attract a security visit) as quite rightly mentioned, the fences are very high. You can get to see a fair bit from there but really it's a place for a video-camera or a big lens.

Dunno where everyone else goes but I found a little track on the right of the A1065 between some tree's, think it goes to a farm. If you park sensibly you can dump the car and walk down the verge and get some nice finals shots.

You lot won't get into trouble anyway, they just don't like motorbikes that go off-roading to get closer to the runway for "Bikes n Planes" shots :p

I would suspect that most of those going would be hoping to capture F15s and any visitors for posterity, the vewing area fence rather spoils the hoped for effect!

Hence I hope they will approach from the other end where photographic access is far better! ;)

I'm considering stashing my fishing kit in the car as well, just in case the weather is too rough for flying ;)
