I am trying to get hold of several of the Revell 1/48th Scale Harriers, hopefully new stock will arrive during January!

For XPL and any other modellers here tonight.

What are your favourite modelling subjects and why?

I used to do WWII aircraft when I was a sprog but I have never tried anything without props. My artistic skills are near enough zero ( never used an airbrush and always left fingerprints all over the A/C) so what are your favourites and what would you recommend a 'born again' modeller to try?

Telly is crap (after Dr Who) and the family have now gone home. BTW Dave do you know of any good ghost stories concerning Wittering or Cottesmore?

I'm looking at Cold War stuff at the mo, like WW2. I prefer 1:48.

I like a decent size (1:72 or larger) iconic naval aircraft, like a Gannet or a harrier, i dont know why though

Not built much for ages, just don't have the time, have been stockpiling in the loft, ready for retirement in about 25 years time, so far have at least four 1/48th scale TSR2s, about six 1/48th Buccaneers, Canberra, Nimrod, Merlin, Wessex, Sea Harrier and that's all I can remember.

Whatever catches my eye , mainly in 1:72 [for space reasons] but I do dabble in larger scales now and again ;)

The Cvix is a skill level 4 :-o !
The Wyvern has Photo-Etched parts for the cockpit, and appears to be very nice looking!
And the Ju88 has quite a bit of flash, but i havent given it a good look.

Keep up the good work, what colour scheme will the SHAR be wearing?

On one of the schemes the registration is for a Lynx helicopter not a sea harrier (how??)
Nice print BTW
Wyvern cockpit, the parts that aren't painted dont need painting

Following the demise of the RAF/RN Harrier Fleet, I thought I might build an example.

So up in to the MODEL STORE/ LOFT and the first one I found was purchased from EBAY for £1:70.

I will keep you updated as I progress the build.
