Biggin Hill International Air Fair (Official) Well it looks like we can now say officially you will not see another air fair at Biggin Hill. Perhaps a small one day community event but thats all. Thank you for all of your support and we now hand you over to Biggin Hill Airport for any future aviation related events.

The only time that I see military jets flying over my abode ,no more arrivals, departures or showtime,I'm really gutted about this as are about another 140000 people :( :((

Biggin Hill is to hold an "Open House" Air Day on the 10th of September 2011.

The expected progamme is thought to be along the lines of showing the public the best of modern aviation by showcasing the daily life of the airport along with music, heritage flying and participation from the armed forces.

Ah but you must remember David old chap we are starved of Afterburners down here, you,on the other hand can easily get to Cottesmore/Conningsby and of course have Wittering in your back garden although granted your're going to lose the Harrier but nevertheless you can still have a fix of noise easily compared to us ,poor ,deprived Southerners :p I have a feeling though it's not going to be much cop,I have more faith in the team that used to run it ( Air Displays International ) they are supposed to be trying to arrange something at an alternative airfield, possibly North Weald or Rochester more on the lines of the old BH airshow :)
