They look brilliant and not a drop of rain in sight ;)
I've been looking for my Blackbird pics from IAT for years. I found a few blurry ones, but I think my Dad pinched the best ones for himself X( .

Thanks Ian :-BD

P.s

Oli, you better get well soon. I've been laid up with Glandular fever for the last few days (But I was still able to go to work :D ), so I don't want anyone else spreading their germs in my car on Saturday ;)

Are you in the little bit with about 4 houses in, opposite the close named after a large 4 legged animals footwear? The joys of google street view with the ability to zoom in on house numbers :D. Don't forget to bring a DVD if you want something to watch on the way there & back.

'When the A-12s (and later the SR-71s) were first flown to their new remote base at Kadena AFB in Okinawa, the local people thought that this strange and somewhat wicked-looking airplane was shaped like the habu snake. They started calling it the habu airplane, and later just habu. Crews who flew the airplane were also called Habu, and the name came to be recognized with the blackbird program and even incorporated into the insignia worn by the crews on their uniforms. '

There are so many great stories about the SR71s

Is herpetology anything to do with Oli's mouth ulcer? ;)
Sooty

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.
