This just gets better and better Ian :ymapplause:

Love them all.
Particularly like the first one (grew up amongst Victors at Marham).
The sky was the right colour for the 19 Sqn one too.

Top pics as always mate :D

As ever Kev your comments make it all worthwhile.

As I have said before most of these slides have never been seen (by anyone)since the day I took these photos. With a wife and 2 daughters I never got the chance to see them on the projector screen. After the obligatory holiday photos I would try to slip in a couple of aircraft slides but I was howled into submission and the vast majority have never seen the light of day until now.

I really must get a decent scanner one of these days and scan them all over again.

I have just carried out a 'search' on my various PC hard drives and I have over 15,000 photos to eventually catalogue. 75% are aircraft, mostly shots of Iconic aircraft from the 70s/80s/ and 90s but I also have a lot of fast car and motorbike action. I may post some of those if people are interested.

I have have never ever claimed to be a good photographer but I knew an awful lot of people who were and they got me access to some special places which would be unthinkable today. My mentor was a guy called Michael Hill who was the CRO for Strike Command at High Wycombe, and later Support Command and he , for some reason, liked my work and put me on the MOD list of the 20 accredited Freelance Photojournalists..

BTW my username of Mod has nothing to do with the MOD but goes back to the days, in 1966, when I was the only Mod in the village ie I drove a Lambretta Li175 with all the trimmings. Talk about a babe magnet or what!!!

I'll dig out some Victors for you soon..

Regards Ian

Ian, I think Michael Hill hit the nail very firmly on the head.
You know that for the last few years I am one of many that have enjoyed seeing your photo's and I can honestly say I can't get enough of them at the moment. Strangely, I am not a spotter or hooked on aircraft as such but certain things catch my eye nowadays (Vulcan etc). In the past I grew up in the era of the pictures you now (thankfully) share.
I know for a fact I am not the only one on here that remembers the displays of those years and I can honestly say I enjoy every single picture you post.

Keep them coming mate, you kept them to yourself for far too long ;)

Edit: Fast cars and bikes? absof'inlutely mate ;)

I'll agree wth that, but just add that unlike him, I never saw a lot of the aircraft you're posting :( or I can't remember seeing them (went to loads of airshows when I was very little but no memory of going :(( ).
So for me, it's all brand new :D \:D/

Helen this is why I like to post these old shots of Iconic Aircraft from our fairly recent heritage. My 2 sons-in-law are now also getting 'hooked' on my passion, much to their surprise, as at first glance the subject doesn't look cool but when I tell them the stories behind the photos they really take an interest.
