But for any wanting to listen to Dr Bob explaining how much easier it gets every year to get money out of the public.

Well that's in direct contrast to the update that stated it's getting harder!! :))

Are you surprised? ;)

Details later, apparently. Something about a fast taxi ride I believe.

Gully

Why is ALL of this ALWAYS subjected to DETAILS LATER?

Is it an attempt to build in a bit of INTRIGUE?

I have just spotted a bit from an update on 1st October that it is now 3/4 years life depending on fatigue/engine life, not the two that was floating around earlier due to the excessive fatigue calculation usage being utilised, like the finances it is difficult to get and keep a handle on what is actually going on and correct.

I hope that another old norm of 'whoopee were saved lets all go into stealth/confidential mode until we run out of money again' does not happen and the momentum is kept up this time and all the promised in the pipeline work and the lessons learnt from past experience promises actually get put into practice and more importantly, regular, consistant, concise and accurate communications are put in place and kept up for all those 'core supporters who kept the faith' ;) and they should start sooner rather than the later.

Well the evening news/update is still apparent by its absence, I must admit I would of thought that this again would be an imperative one to get out earlier today or even last night, I am waiting with baited breath to see the final result and the future plans to see what will finally put 558 on a sound financial footing.

Though I did read one answer that actually said not to expect 100% success in the first year, after 4 years I can only assume that next year is the first of the new bright future.

Apparently, the ride in XH558 was put on in error. It was pointed out by PA28 on the Vulcan Forum. It has disappeared off the front page. Still no news :(

Oh!
Come now Pam and others, [-x how on earth can they post an update when they are all celebrating :o) their raising of the necessary ;) funds to ensure that their Christmas Bash will be going ahead.
I imagine the update will be sometime Tuesday month when they have all sobered B-) up.

Well thats one norm then so far, reached the target and all stop on communication. Lets hope the other historical norm of not actually doing anything to put the business on a sound financial footing, as promised these last 3 years, does not follow as well as they might find they loose more 'loyal core supporters' :ymdevil: it's just not right to treat people like that after all that has been given and achieved by the public who they rely on.

Its almost like them saying......

we have your money now sod off and leave us alone............. X(

They should not make say that a full update will be available on a certain date if they cant deliver.......... X(

They should really have a rethink about how they run things............ :D

Well to put it in perspective this is what has been posted on the VTSC forum, so thats us told then:

Patience children...... it will arrive, remember they/you have just saved their livelyhoods and your aircraft, so cut them a little slack and stuff the other fora, they are not all true supporters unlike you....or they would be on here, but then to be here, they would have to be club members or Trust friends wouldn't they?

It also would appear that there are quite a few people that have to agree the update content and every one is busy with their day jobs and are trying very hard to get it completed and posted, so we all have to cut them some slack and take due regard of the above quote as well.

You could not make it up could you, they do love to be sanctimonious and shoot themselves in the foot with these comments about other people on other forums that do not wholly subscribe to their thought process with regards all things 558 and therefore we are not 'one of them in their eyes' so are only worthy of their contempt, but what they forget is most of us have or still do support them with money and time but they don't seem to be bothered about why some of us have decided enough is enough as they have enough to provide the money without us.
