Duxford AUTUMN AIRSHOW 2010

Postby Xplumberlives » Mon Oct 11, 2010 1:46 pm

Well the weather was bright, warm and breezy! I turned up early to ensure a good position at the front of the mound and set about taking a FEW shots. So in no particular order;

I found a button on my camera during the last displays and this is what it did [well the only 2 postable] ;)

Was a nice display but it was a strange one [no Spitfires beyond the Seafire and that only did 1 flypast with the Sea Fury and Sea Hawk :-o ] ;)
Oh , and despite saying to myself 'no model kits' , I somehow ended up with a 1:48 F-111E and a 1:32 Spitfire F22/24 :((

Clunious Maximus, you REALLY should shoot some footage from the mound with your new camera, it would be good to see moving footage from there! P.S. the Apache was only 40 feet above us during the turns, I couldn't be bothered to keep changing the lenses so just watched the wonderful flying!!

I dunno what the hell is up with Youtube of late but I can't load any videos. They just don't load, or they will load a few seconds and then crash.

I have had your video "loading" for the past 48 minutes and it has only loaded 2 mins 12 seconds ~x(

On the bright side I really enjoyed the first 2:12 ;)

*edit* watched all of it now - great video as always :ymapplause: Had to re-start it 8 times. On the final time it had loaded the entire video. I went to turn the volume up (on youtube) and the progress bar crashed, it muted the sound and crashed Firefox. So for the 9th time it finally worked but I couldn't get rid of the "Heat Magazine" advertisement at the bottom X(

Meant to ask... why were they running up the runway the "wrong way"?

I would bug you for a Sabre video now but after what I have just gone through to watch that video I won't be visiting YouCrap for a long time!!

I stopped taking video because it took too long to upload to utube years ago. Mind you it wasn't helped by my lack of BB speed - thats why my 558 test flight vids are all on SMs account because he uploaded them for me!

I've had a lot of problem with buffering on utube of late.

Tech question.

Why do the props appear to rotate in the manner that thy do??

Possibly something to do with the image stabilisation on the camera. To be honest, I didn't notice until it had been pointed out so I wouldn't worry.

Another great video Cluny, rare sight and nicely captured :D

Isn't it something to do with frames per second of recording?

Nicw vids Cluny. It has to do with the rotation speed of the props and the frames per second of the filming. Just like a car wheel appears to go backwards, then forwards and then backwards as it accelerates. As the throttles are on different settings, you'll see the props do different things. (I think). :D
