Sorry for the misunderstanding Sooty, but the pics I see were the one's that were there to start with and I cannot see any indication that the post was edited.
So my question would have to be.
Which photograph are we talking about?

I think the edit record is only displayed if the edit is made AFTER there has been a subsequent post, whether the editor is a moderator or the original poster or both. I'm sure Wedgy will correct if that is wrong.

This is bemusing ... why would there be what I can ony take as a 'No Step' marker (the crossed out footprint) at that particular place - who would - or even could - want to try and stand on the side of the fuselage below the fin
You'd have to be weightless in which case it wouldn't matter

on the starboard side there is usually a rad housing for the ecm and that has the "no step" on it

i think there should be a duct on close by on the port side, i assume it to say not to use it as toe hold

I think you are correct, Bovril. Len and I were looking at the port side intake duct on Saturday, but I can't remember what it cools - aft-looking radar?

Edit - here's a pic by Mackrick from earlier in the year.

The "No Step" graphic is just below the cooling intake.
