Seconded :( Tis a big shame. 320 did us proud, but sometimes one man cannot make a difference.

Personally I think ONE person DID make a difference, and he has been reigned in somewhat!

It's not as clear cut as that mate. I can't say too much because it's not my place to. Andy was always completely honest about anything anyone wanted to know about how they operate, but, he was often misquoted so for the good of the LPG they decided AS A GROUP to stop ALL internet correspondence.

Take it from me, Andy would love to carry on posting because he likes answering questions and sharing his, obvious, passion for Lightnings with everyone.

Thanks for that, Gaz. Sad but understandable. :(

Silence from Andy is certainly preferable to silent Lightnings.

Thank you Gaz I would assume that admirably answers every ones questions.

It is very easy to forget when 'chatting' here amongst friends that the whole world and his wife can read all our thoughts and views. A timely remind perhaps! :)

And don't worry as to not knowing what is going to run at Brunty as we have some kind people who scan the 'net and post on here. ;) Thankyou to them :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Of course we miss Andy's latest LPG news, but I think IA misses 320psi posting full stop.
(although I see he last visited this morning - most likely checking out what was said on this resurrected thread ;) )

As the resurrector of this thread I think this is a rather sad and bizarre state of affairs. Before, we received an informative and helpful appraisal and update of Lightning developments at Bruntingthorpe. I understand that information could have been (and obviously was) misinterpreted which clearly represented a risk to the LPG but it is disappointing that there appears to be a total moratorium on LPG news. Other fora have rather infrequent updates on say the Buccaneers but for Lightning progress news to go completely to zero is surprising. Still we are where we are. I can only suggest that the LPG can perhaps reconsider - surely theres a way to perhaps sanitise to some extent its news updates to avoid any risk of misinformation. My lad and I attend most Brunty events and an integral part of this is the enjoyment of knowing that when we aren't there we have an awareness of whats going on with our favourite performers! Hope I've not misunderstood anything. Many thanks.

Very bizarre that an organisation that relies on public support to reach it's objectives is willing to virtually cut itself off from the very hand that feeds it.

Needless to say there is far more to it than meets the eye, and the decision to stop posting on forums was anathema to LPG. I am sure that Andy and the LPG would prefer that no more was said.

I am sure the reason is a very good one, sounds like something was said that was taken the wrong way by someone and so it has spoiled it for the rest of us :-(

I just hope that this decision will be reviewed in the future to allow such wonderful posts to start up again, after all so many of us would have not even heard of the plight of the lightnings at brunty without the forums.

I think that sums it all up very nicely! :ymapplause:

Long may the LPG continue to entertain us at their events. Big thanks to 320psi for opening many of our eyes to their exploits.

On a trip to Brunty in August my Mum & sister, who don't do planes, were enthralled when Andy got the photo album out and talked them through the LPG/Q shed story.
I'd rather be skiing

If your Mum and sister are enthralled with shed stories, can we also assume they wear anoraks? ;) :ymdevil:
