spit/hurricane flypast at work

Postby Scubaman » Sat Sep 18, 2010 7:15 pm

Hi all

Had a great flypast over work today (I work off outer circle road in lincoln) by either a spit or hurricane (sorry I am usless at telling the difference). It came in low while i was in the workshop it was that low and loud i thought it was the lanc rushed outside and saw it do a tight turn and climb then flew past wagling its wings at everyone who was watching before flying off towards waddington.

It was not the two seater spit from waddo it had 4 machine guns sticking out of the wings made a crap day at work enjoyable.

It would have been the Hurricane

please you enjoyed seeing her..
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

Thanks thought it was the hurricane seem to remember it was the only one with replica guns.

I am used to flypasts with them normally doing circuits around the cathedral but this was just a lone fighter and was great to see :ymapplause:
