Oberon as much as I would like to have cleared the white stuff off the C17's my first priority was to ensure that SM's beloved VC10's were clear of snow and wrapped in blankets. By the time I finished that I had run out of blankets...

Hi Mackrick,

Amazing what you can do with a phone these days, just make sure none of Puiguine's mates spot you or you'll be in the do-do.

LOL.

In todays society and with current technology, I personally can't see the RAF Police being too bothered by what is filmed on either mobile phone or vid cameras. They are never going to win. Obviously.. in high security areas such items would be forbidden/handed over into secure lockers or simply confiscated.

In my days - the Station Rozzers were the biggest offenders at smuggling cameras onto airfields. We doghandlers did it more discreetly ;)
Look Mummy.. there's an aeroplane up in the sky.....

As I said its all down to common sense. There are place where you will still find yourself eating dirt if you approach ;)
With camera phones everywhere then they have no choice, at the end of the day you can stand at the threshold and get the same shots from outside the wire. Its the engineering ones that are harder to come by unless you are actually there at the time. (Hence my Vulcan and VC10 ones). I am no professional photographer but its good to record some of the history and day to day life that goes on.

Just ignore me, I'm only jealous cos of all the times I've spent wandering round airfields thinking "That would make a great picture" and not having the camera, or the spherical objects, to take them.

Understand they are looking for fitters up your end of the world, maybe I'll join you.
