In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

Slightly jealous! Although they are now aged, noisy and mostly in the middle east/africa my dad built them for years. I've only ever had a tour of one at Farnborough back in the late 80's, which in all honesty I don't remember much :( :(( .

When & where?

Great pics too :ymapplause: I must remember to book my flying lesson on a weekend as some of the aerial shots you've taken are over MoD land which is out of bounds Monday - Friday i think???

50% of my time flying was in a BAC 1-11 to Berlin in 1973. I was two, so oddly enough I can't remember it, although my Dad tells me we were buzzed my a MIG 21! \:D/

The other 50% was when my Mum won a pleasure flight from Leicester Airport in a Rockwell Commander. It was for two, so she sent me and my brother. :D That was 1982 I think. So, I've only flown twice, and the last time was 28 years ago! :((
