Brilliant :D

Edit as it didn't quite cover it. THAT was f'IN AWESOME :ymapplause: :D

Always loved Hunters.
Said it before but I had more than one (loads) occasion laying under the catch nets at Brawdy with them (and Hawks etc) landing and taking off over me. Saw the disbandment displays at Brawdy also. Sad but bloody good.

Now they would create the Mother and Father of all Blue Notes!

Does anyone else remember the two RIATs at Cottesmore - 2000 / 2001? Seem to remember several Hunters displaying at one of those - 2001 I think.

That's quite an impressive list of Hunters. One of the two that flew with Team Viper at Waddington surprised me (XE601 - 'Raspberry Ripple' livery). I didn't know it existed until I saw it there. Had never even seen a photo.

Yesterday I saw the BBMF Hurricane which came over here and off to Bletchley Park. No pics as it was too far away. I was hoping to get down there and photograph it but there are no times on the BBMF site :(

Same for today, the Lanc is due to appear "sometime" so until I hear Merlins I have no idea when she will be here! ~x(

Sorry, Thumps, you seem to have missed it. According to the Bletchley Park website, it was due at 11.45 today.

Bugger, I forgot about looking at their website :))

Either way, there was no Lancaster over it at 11:45 or any other time as whatever goes there flies over my house and I can always hear anything a mile off like the Hurricane yesterday. It is very windy with low cloud and rain here which could explain the non-appearance.

I think you've worked out why the Lanc was a NO SHOW! ;)

Thumps BBMF returned from Jersey yesterday instead of today because forecast bad weather in the UK may have stopped them getting up Leuchars.

AN2, Rapide & T28 all flying circuits from Jersey airport :D

Thanks Mayfly, I am still getting to grips with recognising what sort of weather stops play for the Lancaster. Was good to see her twice last weekend though so can't complain :)

Well I got a small video of a Spitfire displaying over Waddington yesterday by hanging out my study window holding the window with one hand and video camera in the other in the wind, so not very good :( and today have missed the Lancaster which flew right over the house and tried to get the Spitfire again that has just headed home after another practice display at Waddington. I am almost thinking of sitting here with the video camera in hand to catch them in the future X( .

Rats ~x( heard another one aircraft, grabbed camera, ran downstairs and out the front door, turning camera on as I went just as the Andover flew overhead, forgot to take lens cover off, got that off and zoomed in and just caught the tail disappear behind a roof, so thats it I give up :(

Nicely caught Thumper, wish I had better luck, I even in my haste and frustration wrote Andover, which obviously should have been Dakota, not been my day today.

The video link says Leuchars, dunno if thats right or not.

Nevermind Old Rigger I missed the Hurricane Thursday, trying to talk to someone on the phone and get my SLR out of it's bag whilst opening the window and trying to start up and focus the camera was just impossible ~x(

EDIT: Just had this go over low, busy here today! :D

Sorry, doesn't look like Leuchars to me.
The TFD pans are incorrect layout for Leuchars.
Also no water by the side of the dispersals either.

Thought I would ask here, did anyone see 558 transit past where they live as it appears the route took her past Northampton, Bruntingthorpe, Newark,Humber, Leeming and Teeside to Leuchars.
