Here I am touching up the paintwork on the rudder of.....

This beautiful British beast:

Ahhh DeHavilland

WW 1 Tank made by Weta Worksops of Lord of the Rings/District 9/King Kong fame

Bristol Freighter taxing in for her airshow debut..........on the ground sadly.

RAAF Caribou on her swansong as they are retired this year

The real deal owned by Peter Jackson. An 88mm AA gun compete with half-track. This gun was fired several times during the show.

Not the real deal but a convincing replica of an Italian Air Force Stuka. (Theme was Italy you see)Plans are to fit a V12 Jag engine and taxy it.)

WW 2 erupts in front of us!!

Group shot of NZ Forum members posing in front Freighter. Me third from right.

A Mr Al Marshall fixing a small oil leak from starboard Hercules. Is always happy covered in engine oil. Cause was corrosion in sump making a hole. Has now had replacement sump fitted.

Avro 504K. Survivor from fore runner to RNZAF the NZPAF (New Zealand Permanent Air Force) flown for first time just days before the show. Some famous NZ aviators flew this very aircraft.

Brendon Deere's Spitfire PV270 painted as his famous Uncle's aircraft a certain Al Deere.

This Corsair although painted as a US one actually flew with the RNZAF.

This Mustang arrived in NZ in 1988 for Tim Wallis. Now owned by an ex RNZAF pilot. painted as NZ2415 a 3 Squadron Territorial Air Force based in Canterbury (my home province!)

An ex RNZAF P40 wearing Chinese markings. Owned by the late Ray Hannah.

ex-SAAF harvard based here and a resident Nanchang.

Care for a waltz?

Yes we STILL operate these!! Retiring shortly though.

He went that way! (Squadron marking on Caribou tail.
