Photo shopping is personal choice - in fact by over processing you can make them look worse, but theres nothing wrong in it. If you want to, do so - it's nothing to do with anyone else & if you shoot in raw format you have to process. After all jpgs are raw files the camera has processed.

Why would you NEED Photoshop?

This is just cropped!

See this is my point.
I get that sometimes it's good to have a bit of a fiddle ;) :))

But why do you say you NEED to photoshop? I'm curious :D

As I said if someone wants to it's up to them it makes no difference to me. I don't see it as cheating or anything underhand. If I say I like a photo it's not influenced by the quality of the photograph but by the composition, colours, subject etc.

Oli it is!!!
Of which 99% photoshopped!!! :))

I just tweak the exposure using Windows - my camera has a tendency to over-expose - and crop if necessary. I've nothing against photoshop, in fact I suppose what I do is similar to PS in it's most basic form. But if others want to use it, that's fine by me.

I did a City & Guilds photography course years ago (before kids). Obviously, we were doing chemical photography in those days. The tutor was (still is as far as I know) a top wedding photographer, and taught us from the outset the importance of 'getting it right in the camera'. Stands me in good stead to this day, and is probably why I don't feel the need to photoshop, aside of the aforementioned tweaks.
