558 club meet

Postby Mayfly » Sat Feb 07, 2009 9:11 pm

Thanks to all at the club meet today, it was very enjoyable,

& a BIG thank you to the club committee & supporters for DTs leaving gift, a bottle of malt, I know he will enjoy it immensely.

To commerate the Vulcan/Lancaster formation at Waddington last year DT commissioned an oil painting for himself by Mal Grosse, we thought it was so good he had 250 limited edition prints produced, the majority of which he has given away as a thank you to those who helped in returning 558 to flight last year & who in the main were outside the Trust/Club enviroment, ie: Ops, ATC, Flight planning etc at the following locations..........Waddington, Brize, Cottesmore, Coningsby/BBMF

Also as thank you to the club he framed a print, No75 which he auctioned on behalf of the club this afternoon, I am delighted to tell you it raised a massive £610 - so thanks to all those who took part, all the money raised went to the club.

Oh wow, that is amazing Pam. Thank you so much to DT for doing all that.

Do you know if anyone took a picture of it for us to see?
