We know a great deal about preserved and restored British, German, French, US, Russian and Japanese aircraft from the period but what about Italian aircraft. Are there any either static or flying in Europe or elsewhere?
The sky's the limit and so are some people I know.....
From reading the first forum it seems the Italians didn't have much luck with their aircraft so I guess the only place you will see one flying is on a Flight Simulator. You could Google some Italian Airshows though and look at the line up!
Well thanks, Thumpy but, as you say, there doesn't look as though there's anything around in real metal. I know the few well known aircraft as listed here but haven't found much on Italian airshows, yet - I'll keep looking.

In all fairness the Americans had the Mustang which you could hear a mile off due it's whistle, I don't think a Mustang ever surprise attacked anyone
*EDIT
Found this on UKAR, Fiat G59 displayed at Airshow La Comina 100 Italy in January this year and has made appearances at Flying Legends in the past (90's). Photo taken by UKAR Member Max1977.
