I have some 2000 shots to go through from the Legends weekend but just to get you going here is one of the show stars.... Ugly but in a very beautiful way :D

Right here are a selection of Saturdays photo's from Flying Legends. I'll sort out from Sunday and put them up tomorrow hopefully!!

Enjoy the photo's, I was especially pleased with the first photo of the 8 Spitfires, one of my shots of the day I think...

I use a Canon 1D MKIII and would normally be using a 100-400L or 70-200F2.8 Zoom. For the Duxford weekend though I hired a 500mm F4L and thats what all of these are taken with...

So your the type of bloke that makes me feel inadequate with my 55-250mm kit lens :p
What sort of price did you pay to hire the 500mm piece of kit?

Good job your not going to RIAT on the Sunday then, I may have it again this weekend ;) :)) . Haven't quite decided as yet.

It costs me £85 for a weekend with I think is pretty good really considering how much they cost new (£5.5k). I have a Canon Pro Centre (london camera exchange) here in Southampton and they have a few lenses you can hire out to try...

Which LCE was that? I dropped into the little one at the top of East Street last week to see how much trade in I'd get for my 250mm lens. They were really helpful, I just didn't think to ask about testing out a few :(

It was from the Civic Centre branch just opposite the town hall. They generally have more of the 'Pro' type stuff and a bigger selection of second hand items. I do know though they dont pay huge amounts for trade in, you'd be better off selling privately...

I realised that pretty quickly, but I was just asking out of interest. I'm in Southampton again tomorrow, I might have to go in there and enquire about something larger for the weekend ;) :p .
