Cheers Jiggs! The first one is the best photo I have ever taken, it's gonna be hard to beat coz it's a Harrier!! Only an SU-27 pic could probably equal it, but certainly not better it ;)

^^^ what he said :p

Yes I have only just started there and it's a 6 month contract. Standard annual holiday is 21 days, so in theory thats 10.5 days holiday for me.... but no I get 8 which sucks :(

I guess it only sucks because I am used to being self employed and I frequently took off for airshows for days at a time, I'd just work bloody hard to make up for the missed money. In the run up to Duxford Autumn Airshow I was working 16 hour days for 7 days a week. Although on the bright side, I get paid holiday here so at least I don't have to work extra to make up for missed money... see I don't moan about everything ;) :D :ymdevil:

I took my son up on Monday afternoon, because the teachers had an afternoon in the pu...er I mean an inset day. In 75 minutes stood on the footpath at the end of the runway, we saw four take off in pairs, and that was it! That's how it goes I suppose.

Unfortunately NOT taken by me, but one of the RAF Photogs that was out there when I was. We had recently packed the resident Harriers off back to the UK when Guatamala decided to make a few moves along the disputed border! Four Sqn, then in Germany were detailed to nip out and to drop a few 1000Lb Bombs on the range and overfly the area in order to dissuade the Guats! ;)
