Elvington Today ** PHOTO HEAVY**

Postby Yorkie » Sun Jun 20, 2010 8:17 pm

Hi All

We went to Evlington today, they ran up the Buc, Victor and Nimrod :D

It was very good, would have liked a bit more power though, but understand it's the first real time that the first two have really been tested this year. they did run the vic up a bit.... and the silly bloike that decided to stand behind her at the other side of the fence looked like he was getting blown around.

Photo's to follow.... Nimrod looks good, and I could get up close because they were running it so removed the rope. Can't wait to see it running.

Oh and they have 2 reconned engines in the Dakota and planning to get it ready to fast taxi :)

Photo's will come soon, but food awaits...

For now.

OK OK OK

but thanks

was a good day out, and except the lack of space there now it's a great place. they need the permission for the other hanger, they have the space (looks like they have the hanger too, but in bits)

Funny how a Nimrod and a Victor take up so much room!

and once the Dak is running again, they will want that inside.

Thanks, I try to get more artistic shots as we go to Elvington quite a lot and we would end up with thousands of the same photo..... or at least thats how i thought it would work, what I actually get is loads of the same photo and some arty ones :D

I am pleased with the full width shots of the Nimrod as she is usually parked nose to nose wth the Victor.

The shot with the aviation fuel coming out of the engines was a little worrying! is it meant to do that (and yes it was aviation fuel, I asked and it was all over the floor)

Makes me realise that while 'Tina looks great since the repaint, she also looks incomplete without the various stencilled notices. Lets hope in the long-run someone at Brunty finds time to re-apply them. :D

Nice pics though, which reminds me that I'm looking forward to seeing the Brunty Nimrod run...
