We're delighted to announce that Tony Blackman (celebrated Vulcan Test Pilot and aviation author) will be joining us at Wellesbourne on 20th June. He will have copies of his books for sale. He's also a fascinating chap to talk to - you'll see him in/near the MaPS Tent.

Whats the score with cars etc? Quite fancy seeing the Vulcan taxi (if that's what's happening) but is it a car show aswell? Haven't got any show cars as such. I've got a TVR but it'd need a bloody good polish first!

Hi 607.

The main event is XM655 doing her stuff on the runway. There will be approx 100-120 classic cars on display and some stalls selling bits and bobs aswell.Taxi times for XM655 are 11.30am slow taxi and 2pm for the fast one subject to the aircraft being serviceable of course. The classic cars are by invite only so if you come put your name down for next year. :D

I realise the chances of keeping this thread on-topic are minimal, but it's about time we had another poster to remind you all what a great day awaits on Sunday.

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

I've contacted the organiser to see if it's worth bringing the TIV up, otherwise I may just head up in the family bus just to hear this! £5 seems excellent VFM to me!

I dont think any TVR could be accused of being boring ;) I'm normally to be found with the older Wedge TVR's (have owned 6 wedges and a pre cat Griff), hence the username. Thats my username over on PH as well although I'm a member of the South Coast region. I dont have one at the moment, currently doing the old retro 80's french motoring thing!! Maybe go back to another TVR next year but I'll have to wait and see how the money side of things go!!
