LOVE the new Hawk scheme but really don't like the new Tucano scheme.

Cluny I don't suppose you heard anything on your scanner about the Lanc and Tiffie? On the Hawk Display Team website it stated the Hawk was not displaying and was grounded due to Ash, same for the Typhoon. We were all discussing this on the live stream and then all of a sudden the Hawk took off and displayed, it wasn't a low level display either! I understand the Typhoon had to travel at height to Dux which is why it didn't display but what was up with the Lanc too?

I know I'm not Cluny so forgive me =))

Everything at Coningsby was (and still is) grounded as it was/is within the ash cloud limit thing on radar or what ever they use for it :))

Typhoon always has to transit at altitude so it wasn't able to get.
And the poor old Lanc has had enough problems so far so they didn't want to risk her

Hawk could display as it was based at Duxford rather than flying in and I guess the ash hadn't got that far :))
