Getting DNS errors here. I guess there have been some address changes somewhere along the line that haven't replicated across the web yet. Should sort itself out soon.

Normal service ?

It's getting a bit tetchy... Backbiting and mud slinging is not doing it any good.

And it seems to always be the same dastardly duo who stir it up into a frenzy :(

Another cancer of those forums is that banter is always willingly given, but reluctantly received by some. Its the old cliché, don't give it out if you cannot take it.

Unfortunately the TVOC forums will always have the same problem .... trying to balance a fun and enjoyable forum on one side, with the public face of a "business" on the other. The two will always be in conflict and there will never be a true resolution :(. I do not envy those who have to make the choices over there.

Agree Pujgnie, the "Backbiting and mud slinging" makes a difficult situation even harder.

Things are taken far too personal over there. I got 2 emails this morning notifying me my Answer a question with a question thread had been locked/moved - I didn't give it a second thought, after all, its not my forum, my post is the property of those in charge over there, whether I agree with the action or not isn't really relevant - and more to the point ... not worth getting worked up over ;).

Rightly or wrongly I always felt everything I posted on there was scrutanised very closely by some, so never voiced my opinions for obvious reasons, other than to fight the aircrew corner as they never got a mention when we were constantly told how hard everyone was working.

And do you know what?............ I don't miss it at all. I'm pleased I spend my spare time on here - :D

Many thanks Wedgy, :ymapplause: a good light hearted forum with some cracking members who give as good as they get without getting shirty.

I heartily agree Pam - I had a bit of a crisis of confidence on TVOC late last year and said I'd have a break till the New Year and go back - but I discovered Iconic (by being pointed over here by RLN) and I don't I feel like going back as this is so much better. Thanks Wedgy :-bd

just a shame that, after the previous argumentative occasions were normally 'Rusty-fuelled', the forumeers seem to be pressing the self-destruct button - well a handful do anyway, it seems

Hmm. The VOC forum is the only one I know at the moment where there are less topics each time I log on! The Education ones seem to be the latest to go and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the Ian G and DLW resignations topic is deleted. Even the pledge update thread has gone!!

I can understand some of the uncalled-for personal attacks being Moderated, but opinions are definitely not welcomed any more by the seems of it. :(

Maybe if there was some actual '558 news, people would have a focus? At the moment the main topic of interest is Andy's Lightning thread, which says it all really.

Ive been asking where the threads are going - I know I've deleted/moved some for moderating purposes for obvious reasons but the education one has gone altogether. I've asked where it's gone and it's gone because it's a topic that can't really be dealt with right now until we know the fate of 558. But the thread has totally gone. No one has access to it even the mods. Like PA28 said = some are taken by us due to them breaching the rules of the forum but others are taken for other reasons and are beyond our control. And, trust me, we're as shocked as everyone else.

I must admit I only picked up on this forum by a chance remark on a thread over on the TVOC site however todate I find this site more relaxed.

I am currently woking my way through the various threads so as to not seem like a complete numpty. So for a few days I will be quietish and try to behave. Cos I know the nurse has a dirty big syringe and some not so happy pills. :p
