RAF Typhoon training halted

Training flights on RAF Typhoons in Lincolnshire have been suspended after ash deposits were found in one aircraft's engines. The fleet is being checked at its base in Coningsby, Lincolnshire

I wasm't going be able to go tomorrow anyway :(

Even though no Typhoons, everyone else was busy today.
Herc at Waddington, all out at Cranwell, 41 squadron Tornados and Dakota at Coningsby.
Just had a lovely couple of hours sat in the sun on the mound, I might even be slightly sunburnt =)) =))

i would not be surprised if we start making 'dust' blades for the EJ200 (eurofighter engine) the tornado engine RB199 has a version that deflects dust away from the engine center so they can fly low in deserts, its all quite simple really the modified blades have a grove in the leading edge to catch the particles and throw them outwards.
