14.04.10

Nice weather again today! So we made the most of it. I'd noticed some water marks on our lovely new paint so I sent Ian up to clean it and apply some protection in the form of WD-40.

Image

After some sanding and deliberation about the red paint, I set to it:

Before:

Getting there:

Done, with a bit extra!:

Like I said, I was unsure about the red paint at first. In the roller tray it looked VERY red, but, we decided to give it a go and, to be honest, we think it looks great!

So I did a bit more:

Image

Weather permitting, we'll get the red finished on Sunday. The yellow and orange have been ordered, thanks to you lot!!!

It's all go!

That's what we thought. The red we chose, I think, could be close to the original red before it faded

Do my eyes deceive me, or has someone also been wielding a paint brush on the Iskra, Sea Vixen and ATC caravan?

Guppy is coming along a treat by the looks of things.

Sadly because I already have to much to do in a day. I was up there to annoy Dave who plays with the Sea Vixen, if I had more time i'd be helping him with getting that old girl into taxiing service.

Don't really know what's going on. ANOTHER nice day at Bruntingthorpe!

Got Dickon to do some painting:

And between us, we got the red finished around the nose section:

Lots of visitors in today as well. With opening the windows to cool it down in there, I managed to get a photo from outside:

Weather permitting, we'll start the orange on Wednesday

Good work mate!

Is Dickon allowed to go that high without a safety harness or oxygen?
