Are they back at Scampton?

I am getting air to air (243.450) on my scanner, and very clearly heart "Gypo, smoke on go".

::edit::

I'm not going mad, it's Mike Lings replacement apparently.

Any idea who his replacement is? - and were they due back this early?

or just thinking - could it be his replacement practising at Scampton?

I know it's nearly a fortnight away, but aren't they doing the London Marathon? They need to be back for that.
I'd rather be skiing

I always thought they didn't come back until May & their website has them down displaying at Paphos 23 May

http://www.raf.mod.uk/reds/displayinfo/displaydates.cfm

EDIT: Just said on our local radio the Reds have refused to comment on reports they will not be allowed to display at Paphos!!

I overheard at the mound today that Pablo O'Grady will be replacing Mike Ling, and I've just seen it on Fighter control too, didn't want to post hear say, but as it seems to be in the public domain anyway.......

I do like a bit of gossip =))

Good news, but bummer for the late start to their season. Hope the compensatory appearance displays are loud and fast! :D :))

Makes it all the more important that '558 makes Cosford IMO, for the sake of their display programme. Fingers crossed!

Does that mean Mr Ling will only do the two years and not three that everyone else does? Seems a bit harsh.

I did read Pablo was only standing in temporarily - however 1 year could be described as that. Its not a hard or fast rule they only do 3 years - there have been occasions when some have only done 2 others 4, other things play a part too...
