Pledge Scheme to save XH558 for 2009 Season

Postby PiperArrow28 » Mon Dec 01, 2008 5:39 pm

All,

Some will know already, but just in case:

A new PLEDGE SCHEME has been launched over on the main site, http://www.vulcantothesky.com to raise £1 million in pledges before May 2009.

Given this will need to be committed to by everyone - before anything is called up..... what have you got to lose? Even offering £5.58 to the cause, will help make the difference between a grounded aircraft or a flying one.

Which would you prefer?

These are difficult times for us all, so please only offer what you can sensibly afford. ;)
See the link in my siggy........

Cheers,
Ian.

Noticed this in your sig when you joined .... and to be honest it was the first place I noticed.

Although there is a thread on the tvoc forums and a logo in the top left .... I still think it could be even more prominent ;)

Pledging is certainly a great idea :)

PLEDGE to keep XH558 flying

Postby PiperArrow28 » Thu Dec 11, 2008 6:42 pm

Well, as no one here has posted a DIRECT link yet, I thought I would. (apart from my siggy :)) )

There might be a few visiting here not aware of the PLEDGE SCHEME.
Help save her as an airworthy aircrft for 2009.

You can pledge a one off amount or a little each month.
Nothing will be requested until the total of £1 million is reached.

As the saying goes...... "Every little bit helps".

Thanks in advance........

Ian.

The new image is certainly a lot more eye catching than the prototype was ;) And the figures posted today were encouraging despite these dark times :D

I think some, like myself .... are waiting for updates to see how the theory of the pledge scheme works in reality.
For me, Im encouraged by the figures thus far, so will be pledging over the weekend \:D/

the pledge scheme was immensely successful in 2006, I know the £1.2m figure was reached because of Sir Jacks generous £500k donation but even so £.75m in 3 weeks was astounding, the promised donations realised was also well above the national average,

Pledge scheme is well over the £100k mark now - significant progress given that most of the club and "friends" magazines publicising it seem to be stuck in sorting offices up and down the country! I see this is without Eddie F's input, which he promises will come at crisis point!! :)

May I enquire as to the payment methods available on the "Pledge Scheme"? I'm in the proverbial "dark ages" as far as on-line-shopping is concerned. I own a cheque book and a debit card.

I realise no monies need pass over at this present time, but do not wish to pledge without being assured I will be able to forfill my obligation at a later date.

It's being reworked and permissions (from contributors of clips) are being obtained I believe. Was rather good though and I'm sure it will be even better when reworked. I'll repost once its back.
