Raytheon is latin for "Light from
the Gods" -- what you get when certain
of their explosive devices detonate.

A side benefit of their WWII radar
research, for which we all will be
eternally grateful, is the Microwave
Oven (or) Radarange, first
available for restaurants in 1947
and then for your kitchen in 1965.

I wouldn't try to use one to dry the
paint on your model, though.....

UnLESS you make a VIDEO!

There's a few of those clips with different subtitles, knocking around on YT. That's the most random one I've seen though!

Just had a call from the Stamford model shop, my Corgi TSR2 has arrived!

Anybody else getting one? I have a spare if required.

Rather nice, although I don't like the cradle type of stand!

With only4500 being available I would think you will be very lucky to find one at a discount, but good luck anyway! :ymapplause:

Nice job there Cluny, a good looking model. :ymapplause:

I was going to do an update on my Typhoon, unfortunately had a bit of a family crisis to sort out and I was in danger of doing what I did with the Nimrod i.e. glue the fuselage halves together without the weight in the nose. I have found the head magnifier with lights I just received is brilliant it certainly makes gluing small bits together easier.

Added a couple of shots, the bits are only taped together for now:

Looking good Gentlemen

Cluny, love the Harrier, do you build to order and what do you charge? :ymapplause:

Mick, the Typhoon is coming along nicely, but thanks for pointing out "the bits are only taped together for now" I thought the plastic clamps were a new attachment! :-o

Keep up the good work.

My latest work is the Airfix Shaun the Sheep Landrover and animals for No2 son!

Thanks XPL, I thought after I posted that bit that maybe I should mentioned the clamps :ymblushing:

The Landrover etc will that be part of a diorama or are you going to do something along those lines yourself.

I might buy some of the ground equipment that is available, like the steps, Power Set and put them on a base with aircraft pan markings on, then cover it so wife can't dust it X(

Funnily enough the owner of the Landrover has already suggested a diorama type base and that should hopefully mean it might stay intact on the shelf, well at least until the 6' 3" tall dusting fairy arrives on the scene! :-o

I have been getting on a bit with the Typhoon, the main bits are together and I am now going to fill in the bits that don't fit quite right and then spray the top coat before finishing the cockpit and all the other extras.

I tried to get a decent shot of the metalwork in the jet pipe as well but it has not gone as expected.
