that's funky!

although i expected it to drop the Bell X-1, i never thought the latter would be remote controlled in its own right! :ymapplause:

There's some skill out there isn't there :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

My experience of flying radio fixed wing has told me that a bit of weight is perhaps a good thing as the models are not so skittish and have more penetration through the air - and as long as they have plenty of thrutch the bigger models fly well \:D/

But then sometimes it goes wrong .... expensively !!

Wimp :p

The trick is NOT to crash :)) :))

BUT - if you do .................. :D

Cyanoacrylate.............. wonderful invention ... back in the air from most incidents in minutes ;)

Only had one real carrier bag incident - lost a plane that went in vertical at full thrutch due to receiver crystal failure :-o

It was one of those moments where you get a demonstration of how sound and light travel at different speeds....... I saw it hit the deck about 150 yds away and saw it explode in a spray of pretty yellow bits ...... 2 seconds later .......CRUMP ........ quite funny actually :((

Dug the engine out of an eight inch hole in the soft earth with a penknife - put all the expensive bits in one carrier bag and the disposable wooden bits in another ..... built another plane and re-used all the big pricey bits .... £15 all up to repair/ rebuild and back in the sky in 2 weeks :D

(Wren gas turbine B52 - total loss - £30,000 :-o :-o Although they did save the turbines (8 of them at £2000 a pop :-o ) and were apparently able to re-use them with new main shafts if I remember rightly)

That's nearly too nice to be a TARGET! ;)

Nice to see they pilot faithfully reproduce one of S.M.s landings! :ymapplause:

We've been here before I know - but I couldn't resist this .....

Flying model helicopters in what is described as '3D mode' is VERY difficult at the best of times - but I've never seen it done so skilfully so close to the ground like this bloke :-o :-o

Ok - as if to emphasise the point he nauses it up at the end :D But IMHO he can be excused that because of what went before :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

http://vimeo.com/2875742

Then of course there's the 6 year old Justin Jee...........international competition and he comes 2nd :ymapplause: :ymapplause:
