Un certo aeroplano italiano che ha pilotato 60 piedi nell'aria prima di sprofondare uccidendo i piloti. Durante le riparazioni si è distrutto in un fuoco. ;) :p

Only one of these was built and it was a prototype for a trans-Atlantic airliner.

Kyūshū J7W

The J7W was developed for the Imperial Japanese Navy as a specific response to the B-29 Superfortress raids on the Japanese homeland. It was to be operated from land bases. The canard concept was tested first by building a number of gliders with this layout, designated MXY6[6].
The first prototype, the only one to have flown, is currently in storage at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C.

The nearest to a name I found was "Lenticular Re-entry Vehicle" or LRV, or Project Y2 or weapons system 606A was run by Avro and utilised German saucer technology. Apparently there were four of them of different sizes.
