I have been asked on a photo forum what the big black bulby thing is on this Sea King picture......

I said that I don't have a clue, so said I would ask the people who know these things........

I always assumed it was some type of radome/radar (bag).

It's tilted backward on take off and rotated down after they are well in the air .. we see loads of them down here ...
