I had a cracking afternoon with James, we saw Typhoons, Tornados, Tucanos, a Sentinel and a Spitfire!






We were parked at the end of Runway 25 at RAF Coningsby!

Certainly, I've got a night shift with an ancient computer this evening and the next two, but as soon as I can get them in to my computer at home and do a little post production you shall have some shots of the jets!

P.S. The light was wonderful for a couple of hours!

A 28 Sqn Merlin dropped in to Wittering at 18:58

Followed a mile astern by a Tornado with its gear down to slow down!

Two Typhoons over the house and then heading towards Coningsby plus maybe a black chipmunk and, I think, 2 Spitfires heading from Coningsby. Photos taken, so will post if any good.

EDIT: Photos added. They are taken at the far end of the lens range, hence the poor quality .

I love how it disappears into a cloud of it's own smoke I wouldn't want to be behind one.
We were hoping it might go over us but we didn't see anything






BBMF Hurricane 'Battle 2' heading back to Coningsby, 'Battle 1' was 5 miles ahead and they were both having radio/communication issues. They were talking about green flares, so I hope they got back OK.

Also as we were coming home last night just after sunset something with bight lights went into Waddington. we were too faraway to make out what it might have been. It did briefly talk to Waddington on my scanner but nothing to give me any info.

Xh558 flew over my car on my way home from Goole at 14:25 hours yesterday, and she was very low

It must be ChipFest again as there were loads of Chipmunks in and out of Wickenby today. Sadly we only went out to the pet shop for some meals worms for Skinky, so I didn't bother taking my camera with me.
