Well that answers that question, thank you very much :) :)
I do remember asking Mark (crew chief) about the view point underneath 655, but couldn't for the life of me imagine how you could see above the Vulcan.
And im not going to cause you lot hilarity in explaining how i thought he saw above the Vulcan :ymblushing: :ymblushing:

Here is the periscope in the raised position. You can just see the position selector and lateral adjustment control below the bench and to the right of the periscope.

This is a close-up of the selector/adjuster. It is shown with the lower periscope selected in the straight ahead position (which is of course straight back in aircraft sense.).

Not like in a submarine when the say 'up periscope' i had visions of them flying along and suddenly this thing appearing out the top!! =)) =)) =)) =)) :ymblushing: :ymblushing: :ymblushing:
