Thanks for the bump!

We have been doing stuff, honestly!! I've just held back from posting every little detail because I got the impression people were a bit bored of my endless waffle!

Believe it or not, some people moan about having to pay £1 to get on board! Don't think I'll push my luck ;)

See you on Sunday :)

I think a couple of bowling alleys inside the
Guppy might produce a steady source of
funds! :D

Gaz, how could it possibly be boring ! I think XPL has got it, no pound, no exit. Mind you, some people might not mind that too much :D
and the bowling alley sounds pretty good.....
Weather forecast for Sunday is ok so far, but this is Brunty we re talking about, so I ll take my snow boots. Just in case :))

NASA have agreed, in principle, to let us have 4 unflyable main landing gear tyres. Just trying to grease the wheels with the government as they are, technically, a government asset. The USAF have agreed to ship them over on a C-17, I'll just have to pick them up from a destination to be decided later.

Fingers Crossed!!

Got a Q, Mister Lander::::::::

How often does that Nasa Guppy cross the
Atlantic?

Have you given them a blanket invitation
to visit any time -- even if it's just crew
and not the aircraft?

I also think theirs would be a fine addition
to any UK airshow venue...

Either way, I think that would be a superb
thing to have happen.......

Who Knows?

I have extended an invitation to them.

The Guppy crossing the atlantic is all about the weather, she'll only do 1,800nm (Ish) on a full tank so would either need refuelling or do the old island hop that light aircraft do.

It's worth an ask, but, I reckon the logistics and the costs involved would make it a non starter. I'll just have to get GV flying! ;)

RIAT might be a good excuse for NASA to
foot the bill.....

Boeing might even want to take part!

International Exposure and PR value......

And who knows WHAT they might be able to
pack inside that thing!

Fill it with booze and fags and they'd pay for the trip, four engines for Gaz, and a downpayment on the Mars mission. ;) :)) :))

I Like Your Way of Thinking, Mister Soots!

And HM's Gummint would make a Fortune
on VAT as well!

That NASA Guppy is one nice aircraft, too.......

Just how much media attention do you think
she might attract?

You see, Danf! Only you and me, who would be interested.

Anyhoo....

Got quite a bit more paint on today, the port side is starting to look really good. I've also started to prep the cargo hold for the winter. I figured I'd get as much done as I can in there when it's too cold to work outside.

I know Danforth mentioned it a while ago, but, would anyone else be interested in a "Walkaround" video of the Guppy? It'd be exactly as it sounds, I'd walk around the aircraft, showing all the work we've done and provide some, hilarious, commentary on the way :)
