Stopped at Mildenhall on the way back to scope out the Nook Campsite , very good view over the airfield with an old lorry trailer to stand on to see over the fence :) But this pic was taken abit further along the peri fence as it was dead ;)

Yep, weather was awful, but, the company was good and we had 19 F-15's out and back plus 2 Tonkas.

The Tornadoes went t'other way, so by the time they were overhead they were alread at 500ft or so. Gives you an idea how grim the weather was though!

Out they came, sat around for absolutely ages and then took off singly as they always seem to.

Two German Tornados appeared and headed off home.

Then they started to return, straight in approaches and some of them very low.

And back they went

Then some C and D models came out in the afternoon.

A shot to proove just what caused the poor weather.

I always have my video camera in my spare lens pouch of my camera bag. If an airshow's weather turns naff and my photo's are looking rubbish then at least I can switch to the video camera. This was the case for RIAT 2009 unfortunately. I only got 1 good photo out of 1,000 taken :|

Do you think you will arrange another visit up there Gaz?
