today my house was buzzed by an Apache several times, but I hid in the cellar, and they went away eventually.

OK, who sent 3 military choppers over Milton Keynes this morning at about 20ft?

I was in the bath at my friends house so didn't see them but by crikey did I HEAR them! My friend said they were quite big and olive green in colour and were about 20ft off the ground.

That was at about 10:30am. At 11am another friend text me who works in North Milton Keynes with the following:

"I bet you want to be here, 3 big green military helicopters hovering about 20ft over my workplace right now, they are so low I could throw stones at them!"

Anyone know how I could find out what this was all about?

Heard some Merlins in the distance at about that time , might of been them

Cheers Cluny, was probably them playing games. Someone told them that I was not able to get outside and that my camera was at home

I would post it on "the other place" as someone would probably know but I can't take the accusations of lying on there anymore!

We've seen Merlins cutting up the grass across that part of the country before, if you really want confirmation ring the Ops Room of 28 Sqn at RAF Benson!

I will, the only time I have ever complained was when a Typhoon tried to kill me at Silverstone. I wouldn't usually EVER complain but it was bloody irresponsible and damn dangerous.

Was 2006 in the summer. I was out with a friend on her bike. We chose the quiet lanes to Silverstone. As we were passing the circuit a Typhoon literally appeared out of no-where, burners on full straight over the top of us and was about 50ft absolute max over my head before going sky high.

It absolutely terrified me and made me physically jump. I somehow kept the bike under control and came to a stop but my friend had panicked with fright and "parked" horizontally in the verge

Long story short, I got an apology and was told that it was the Display Pilot for that year who had gone on a 'recce' to practise at the circuit for a couple of Typhoon displays taking place that year. The manouver he was doing at the time he went over us was a low high speed pass with high climb out.

I hope the pilot got a right bollo**ing as it was bloody stupid. Even now I can't think of it as amazing and cool because it absolutely terrified me as I thought it was crashing towards me!

I understand, it's not often that a typhoon goes at 600knots and then does a 9G unrestricted climb with burners above you!
