RAF Kinloss..........

Postby Sploosher » Sun Jan 30, 2011 10:32 pm

Is Kinloss going to be closed down :(

The reason why I ask is this.

In the latest issue of RAF news on page 25 in nthe `In Brief` section there is an article called AVM debut which says the following.

AVM Phil Osborne flew into RAF Kinloss this month on one of his first duties as AOC 2 group.
Speaking during his first visit he said, " The station has a unique and complex challenge arising from the SDSR, one that will test all of its personnel."

"RAF Kinloss is currently an integral part of the Moray community and I know that all parties are working hard towards establishing a future for all."

"This is the first station that I have visited since assuming command and I look forward to visiting again in the near future"

If Kinloss is closing , dont you think that someone should tell him........... :))

Oh he knows, just doesn't reveal all to the public! :ymdevil:

TSR-2 simply got the first 3 right. ”

Presumably when he watches the RAF march off the base for the last time?

I have a friend who's a Fireman. He told me there is one particular chief who, if he arrives at your station, means that station is due for closure. The call him the reaper.

I reckon this AVM is probably the same. Used as an administrator when bases are closing.
NB; Any negative comments I post about the Vulcan are posted SOLELY to wind Gregg up!

Another good sign that an RAF station is going to close is when they bring the accomodation UP to civilian standards............ X(
