Isn't it a HAWKER designed test vehicle?

Not Supermarine Attacker - well not by name but you could say from its origins that was sort of warm-ish and to be fair to SM with his earlier muses that it had Supermarine Swift looks I did some more research and I will add that although its not - it has also got a sort of connection - ish :D :D :D :D

Definitely not a Hawker

There's also a connection to Vulcans - in a 'type' sort of way :p

I'm not convinced that it's even British - those roundels suggest it could be either garlic-powered or spaghetti-fuelled - what say ye oh Oral Emitter of Flame :D

It is actually fuelled entirely by bacon & eggs with fright bread - no garlic or spaghetti has got anywhere near it to my knowledge and belief :D :p

Correct - and it was interesting that it was a British research aircraft, built to test the aerodynamics of the Handley Page Victor design and was essentially a scaled-down version of that aircraft. There are elements of the Supermarine Attacker and Swift in it i.e. the wing roots .....but look at that interesting wing shape.

Image

Only one was made and it crashed due to a tailplane servo control system failure.

Back to you SM - of course you don't know ANY aircarft at all and you're just guessing =)) (as if :D )

LOVELY shape those wings have :x

Spitfire, that was down to much ~x( and dedicated research! a huge slice of luck too - your last clue with the loose Vulcan connection, i fortunately plumped straight for the HP Victor before anything else. i still know very few aeroplanes! :((

well, I'll now have to try and remember which dastardly fiendish aeroplane i found the other night, in case of such a win............erm............. =))

edit: here you go then :ymdevil:
