Indeed!

It was the detailed plan of XM655's planned return to flight at the next Wings & Wheels and its preparation to join 558 the same day in a practice formation over the Mall for , so pretty boring stuff really.

Apparently they reckon the restoration will only cost £1500 (new discs on wheels)to get it in the air because MAP's have looked after her so well that virtually nothing needs doing

The main barrier however is that the apparently the runway at Wellesbourne needs extending by 200 metres to get her in the air which will necessitate some residential houses being demolished but some explosives to assist in this have already been donated from nearby Kineton Ordnance Base free of charge. Estimated completion of the runway is 01/04/2011

Like I said pretty tedious article and you are not missing much.

Bu&&er it!!

We paid Wikileaks a fortune to keep it quiet, and the local ad-mag publishes it. =)) =))
Sooty

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

Overheard conversation.

'They claim that 655 may make it back into the air for around one and a half grand'
'Oh do they?'. 'Well guess who I am donating to'.
