Just been scanning in some boxes of my Dad's old 35mm slides ...

Came across these ... a holiday he and my Mum went on on Apr/May 1980 to the Caribbean ...

Not the best quality, for as I say, they are electronic scans of slides .. but not too bad ...

SKYTRAIN ... now there's a thing of the past

There's one there of what I think must be some airport where they landed in the Caribbean - don't think it's Heathrow ... Any plane spotter nerds want to identify anything they can see ??

that last pic is Gatwick - now known as the south terminal, at that time it was the only one - now you can call me a nerd

I once had a tour of Laker's operations at Gatwick finishing up with a meal on a Skytrain, in a hangar, at the time the yanks had banned them. Never flew with them though.
