Sat right here, swearing at the TV news channels for showing 'other' news.

I was at my oldests son's bedside in ICU at St Marys Hospital Southampton, after being hit by a car whilst out on his bike.

He was in an 'induced' coma... and was lucky to survive. I recorded the moment from Sky TV coverage on my mobile fone for him to see when he 'eventually awoke' some 2 weeks later.

so... 558 is pretty special in more ways than one.

I was at a trackday at Mallory Park, kinda pee'd off because it's not that far from Brunty and I had no idea what was going on as I didn't belong to any aviation forums then!

Glad your eldest pulled through Pujgnie, can't imagine how traumatic that time must have been, sorry RLN :(

I was at work watching it all on the brilliant outside Vulcams - amazing day ....

My favourite video of THE moment has to be this one though....

No messing - flick of the rudder - fabulous howl - raw power - and a take off right by the camera - brilliant

Never forget it :D :D

Nothing too exciting for me........

Just seated right where I am now, pounding on
my desk and posting stoopid reactions on the
Old-Old Forum. I remember the excitement
of seeing vids -- some of them really Awful,
but SHE FLEW!

Sadly, the Old-Old Forum is now gone forever,
and all the excitement shared by those glued
to their compooters has vanished.

I think there were 318 people on line at one point.......

Oh, and I've lost count of the number of times
I've watched that clip, Davey. It's what I show
people who don't "GET" why I'm so interested in
some stinky old Limey Crate.

Was on the M4 (hard shoulder of course) watching it on my laptop using my mobile phone as a modem. Was a bit slow on the bit rate but managed to see the MOMENT. Have to agree about the one shot next to the runway - top position and a great vid. Although I will have to champion 'someone elses' vid from the day. Not jealous of her at all.......

I was parked in the sports pavilion car park and was about to meet someone who has become a firm friend, what a day!

Love it - what a perfect day indeed .... that also reminded me - and I've commented before - that to see a landing THAT graceful and PERFECT from a plane that size by chaps who hadn't flown her for years was truly astounding :-o

Those back axles on the main bogeys landed first in a dream of a kiss with the tarmac - and then she was held off for what seemed like hours before the front axle greased on - and then the nose down when they were good and ready - WHAT a sight - and what total PERFECTION :-@ :-@ :-@ :-@ :-@
