309 Sqn have a framed print of 655 scrambling....... I will try to get a photo of it and upload it here sometime.

(If is ever up for disposal I might try to get the Cadets to present it to MaPS).

I guess it is probably the one Roy Jacobsen had done when he bought 655 - I think it was done to raise funds for the ill-fated attempt to return her to flight.

Not sure how many were produced, but we (MaPS) certainly haven't got one. If the Sqn want to part with it, we'll give them a great day out in exchange, but that isn't much of a deal because we'd be happy to give them that with or without the print. ;)

Interesting to see '655 without her probe in those photos of Cluny's. When was it re-fitted?

Thanks,

The probe was refitted back in 99 i think. We sort of found one lying around at a RAF base that must remain nameless. ;)

Hi all.

The MaPS engineering team gave 655 a througher inspection today and found nothing of concern except for some missing mushroom headed screws.
The missing screws have been removed from a couple of wing panels that are located under the wing fuel pumps.
None of the engineering team have removed them so they must have be taken by somebody over the last few weeks. ~x(
We have now had to relocate one of our cctv cameras to look under the aircraft so if the culprit returns we will have them on film.
The panels are secure and will not affect our run day.

Well, we were rather gobsmacked, but with clean grease still visible in the holes, the evidence was there for all to see. :-o
