whats the latest on 558's engine change

I heard she had gone into the hanger - anybody know ?????????????

yup - she's in the hangar (Base Hangar i think)

work progressing well, with most systems (if not all) connected up by the end of the week. not sure on ground runs yet; Brize is a busy place, so hopefully 558 can be squeezed into their schedule somewhere!

558's engine is in i gather, and the chaps will be finishing the connections off today - ground tests should be done on Monday

the aircrew aren't kept informed either - they'll only told when shes ready to fly

Come on then SM whats the latest, I see on UKAR they say engne runs sucessful but needs work on the brakes

not sure on the outcome of the ground-runs myself, but she was certainly HOWLING going on!

i imagine that the post on UKAR is spot-on then

i gather that her brakes need a tweak too,but it sounds as if all is looking good for Farnborough on Thursday

Not sure was too busy listening to the howl and watching from afar.....
will get an update tomorrow I hope..
Watched her being towed back from southside at about 1730 not sure where she went.
I have plenty more photos from her stay at Brize

Crew in today to do the refuel and the flight servicing...
