Engine plate

As I look at many shots of vulcans, I notice a plate between the starboard engines under the rear, but not portside,what is it for ?

It's a counterpoise panel for mounting Electronic Countermeasures Equipment!

Cheers for the info. why don't they fit them to civil airliners, then passengers could not use I pods I phones and I pads, they might have to actually talk to someone !

Blue steele fit vulcans have/had the counterpoise panel on both sides because of the missile causing a blockage.
