Wedgy: I have already been on to our webmaster about that. He must be really busy because he usually updates things straight away. It would seem that B&Q have stopped selling paint and painting tools online. I can send you updated links if you're feeling generous ;) :D

Post your updated requirements here in the meantime mate. Im sure some going to Brunty on the 10th might come bearing gifts ;)

Just had a note about our wishlist. It looks like B&Q have stopped selling paint online and the other company have moved their links around!

SO

Orange paint is now here: http://www.promain.co.uk/product/Golden ... 50_clid557

For the Rich blue, which I've started to apply so can't change it now!! It's the B&Q own brand "One Coat" Rich blue gloss. but have to get it in store :(

The red is now here: http://www.thehomeofdiy.com/hardware-to ... gn=froogle

And the yellow: http://www.thelittlegreene.com/paintinf ... nSize=1000

Roller sleeves are now here: http://www.arco.co.uk/products/3188485

Roller and tray set: http://www.arco.co.uk/products/3188483/ ... _6_Sleeves

I think that's it!

Pain in the whatsit!!!

Blimey, you're easily pleased!

Not a case of being easily pleased, more a case of appreciating the work Gaz puts in and how a little effort makes all the difference

Cheers Pam! :D

For anyone who's interested. This is a comparison shot of the colours we have chosen for the main livery, versus, the original paint:

Sorry , havent had time to do the updates , busy at work and also been to Italy again to see my daughter and new born grandson. I'll drop a post on here once I've done the update (I also need to do the monthly restoration progress page).

Once I've done it I hope we get some more donations so that I can add more bricks to the wall of thanks!

Now I'll try to post this again , for some reason the last 2 efforts failed - is it me or the forum?

Edit - wish list now updated

Edit2 - I've now added a page for the March restoration update as well as a new section on the forum for events

04.04.10

No Guppy work done today. EVERY set of steps has been moved to the top pan, for no reason whatsoever ;) It appears they are not sure which size steps they will need for.........erm..........Nothing in particular ;)

So I spent the day, like the old days, doing jobs for the CWJ lads. Changed the empty nitrogen bottles on the trolley for the full ones, inflated the Victor and Sea Vixen tyres and watched the main oleo on the good JP get recharged. Then put the Nitrogen trolley to bed and gave our, lovely, little 28V geni a short run to keep her breathing.

Back to Guppy duties soon (I hope!!)

After I'd finished playing on the VC-10 today :D I managed to get the blue finished round the nose section.

I'll let Andy do his fancy before and after thingy!

Our aim was to get the blue on the nose done by the IA day, entire nose by CWJ. So far........

I think you should let keen Aviationists have a go with a bottle of Brasso and a rag, that would be a start!

You don't want to do that or you will remove any protection on the finish. Learnt the hard way by certain people. It just needs a good wash with proper aircraft wash fluid .... you would be surprised how it would look then ....

We have had a few drums of that stuff delivered recently. Just begs the question: How do we clean the top of it? Other than sending Dearman up there on a wire ;)

In the meantime, the "Dickon on a wire" idea is favourite, I reckon!!
