I think that would be one website too far, I have seen others about my hobby but there's only so much you can write about a sickbag (although I did manage to talk about them for half an hour on the radio once!)- think I'll stick to the Guppy for now. Waiting for Gaz to say he's had some donations off the wish list so I can start on the wall - http://www.superguppy.co.uk/guppy%20wish%20list.htm - blatant plug there folks! Already seen of offers of help come up on the forum so hopefully it will pay dividends before long.

Hey there, sorry for the delay in answering, yeh sick my Guppy shot on the site, no worries , its not that good though, just a snap

The 747 was the 1st one that flew into Brunty in 1995, here she is just after landing, we climbed all over her for a 'look see'





She was spares recovered over a period of time and then blown up in two explosive tests, with the airframe pressurised, the 1st one in the front cargo hold using a protective test screen in the bay, which held the airframe together, just, the 2nd blast in the rear cargo hold with no protective screen, and this was the result

Its not my shot by the way, I just stood there, mouth wide open



Its was very sobering to watch, I felt abit sick to be honest.

After this little lot, she was gradually reduced to lots and big bits which got smaller as time went on, and the scrappies had their way with her, eventually the smallest bits were swept up in about 2001

The the 2nd 747 arrived in about 2003/04ish and was given her Adsa livery for the Adsa families day in Aug 2005

Finally, a dry, if not a little cold, afternoon!! Managed to get the props finished (On one side anyway!).

I reckon I'll need to do the white bits as well, I was hoping I'd get away with it, but hey ho!

Had some more good news too. I'm 75% sure we've got a portacabin coming! Which might not sound very exciting but my garage will be relieved! It also means that if/when we get the Guppy moved, it's home will be as permanent as we could hope for.

In other Brunty news: The main Hangar is now clear, Tina should be in there V.Soon!!
