Project Superstar

Project Superstar is the restoration of a 1957 Lockheed Super-Constellation model 1649A which is currently underway at the Auburn-Lewiston Airport in Auburn, Maine. This Connie (along with two others) was purchased by Lufthansa with the intent to have at least one of them fully restored and airworthy to air carrier standards. When finished, it will be flown from Maine to Germany where it will be added to Lufthansa's collection of flying historic passenger aircraft.

Any chance of some MORE sometime soon?

The curiosity is killing me, and Lufthansa
is very stingy with pics and information on
their website........

Hope all is going well and on-schedule for
summer of 2013, and I'm still hoping "they"
will see fit to use Bangor some when the
flight test phase starts.....

We ARE only 100 miles away, you know
