LMA Lancasters at East Kirkby

Postby Hihonyr8811 » Sun Dec 28, 2008 12:55 am

I forgot I had this, just some footage of the model lancs that displayed at EK this/last year ('08), they really were amazing. Two were "Dambuster" modified Lancasters complete with bombs (hence the music) that were actually dropped, although I missed it :(( only one Dambuster lanc flew, the other they couldn't get one of the engines to start so they just flew the others they had. Feel free to fast forward the first bit :)) .
There's also a bit of footage of the red bull typhoon model.
Enjoy :)

They also had a model of MH434, but it had a slight mishap on take off :(

I'm going to a large model show at Rougham this year (hopefully)

Here's the link if anyone's interested

I'm really looking forward to it.

I was not really interested in the models till I saw those Lancs at EK, now I think they are just amazing :) .

will they be at East Kirkby again this year?
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.
