Where did you find them... I found a couple of things...

In stock at an Italian site...

http://www.misterkit.com/catalog/produc ... anguage=en

And closer to home, a place in Oxfordshire.... Although according to the website out of stock but being re-printed in the new year...

Not too happy with the revell hemp [looks abit too yellow to me] i had so im waiting for the correct shade [humbrol 168 , my local shop doesn't stock it so i had to order it in] for the final coat . The tail looks a tad too dark but i expected that as it was only a guess ;)

Looking mighty fine so far, but do agree that the tail is little dark.

Thats better :)
Image
Second coat of Revell Hemp [no one has Humbrol 168 , not even Humbrol themselves :( ] seems to darkened it up abit [although it still looks abit too yellow to me but it will do] and the second attempt at the tail [now painted Humbrol 167] seems spot on now ;)
Just have to wait for the decals to turn up now :(
Image
Whilst getting the paint for the tail i had a weak moment and impulse bought this :))
Image
Looks like im stuck in a Airfix circle now :))
Edited because i cant spell look :))

The 1/48 Canberra has poor detail under the tailplane. Where the tailplane fits the fuselage, underneath at the leading edge there should be a scale 5" gap tapering to zero at the trailing edge, a third of the way back from the leading edge in the gap now created, make and fit a facsimily actuator and some sprues to imitate the stringers and frames, one could even make up a cable loom to feed the actuator, the rear nav light and the rudder actuator in the fin.

Are you getting a bedroom extension to house the 1/48th Canberra?

OK, first post on the IA modellers thread, mainly because, for the last 8 months or so I've been working on a 1:72 Revell Merlin.

The one and only helicopter I'll EVER make and DEFINITELY the last "Skill Level 5" I'll touch. It's been hard but because of that, I'm quite happy with it.

Next up: A nice "Skill Level 3" 1:72 Corsair that Clare got me for christmas.

Cluny, nice looking model, did you follow the intsructions to the letter or did you look at photos and do some research on the model forums for things like CM mentioned as I notice the model has what looks like a 90 degree chunk missing from the two wing tips, the picture shows a V shape cutout.

I found after I finished the Airfix Nimrod all the after market resin kits, decals and on a modelling forum, all the errors in the kit, still a bit of work to do, complete the decals, re do the wire ariel cable from the fin to fuselage (I caught when I put on the last lot of decals and one side is loose :(( ) and when I am happy it is done I will get around to posting the follow on pics.

Gaz, like the model of yours as well but as I never had anything to do with them I won't be bothering, though I have got a Chinook on my list.

My next model though will be the Revell 1/48 single seat Eurofighter Typhoon and I am doing my research first as the models don't come with the inboard wing pylons, plus there is metal undercarriages that have more detail etc and I have a link to a guy who has allready built one highlighting the minor errors and how to sort them.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Image

Do you have the HANGAR like extension or loft required?

Yes I've been eyeing that up - Over the years I've made all the 1/24th Airfix stuff - some more than once :D I love 1/24th because it's nice and chunky and you can get some really nice detail into them - and you can modify them easily too. I was astounded when I put the 1/24th Spitfire next to the same scale Harrier ....I had to check the size of the pilots (same obviously :p ) to reassure myself that both planes were indeed to the same scale :-o :-o

Want to drool some more :D :D

Already selling in Ireland - here's one made up...

But here's the one I REALLY want - but can't find one anywhere for decent money - sadly out of production - Trumpeter are the business in models IHMO

Is the unavailable Trumpeter kit of the Vb better than the Airfix one then?
