Its the 1/72nd version hence the enormous lack of detail :))

I hope it's a better kit than my airfix bucc was!

I was happy with it in the end, but, sooooooo much filling and sanding to do ~x(

Mine is the Airfix one too.... Yes there has been some filling and and sanding... Bit more to come too :))

Nice work agent Cluny, I guess that's the lightning from the I.A. Day and the 109 from Wellesbourne! :ymapplause:

Thought I would post a quick update on the Sentry E3D, still lots to do and getting the Rotodome on and aligned was a pig, but I am pleased so far:

Hi XPL, thanks for the idea, unfortunately I have no idea where the model is going :( let alone if I was able to make a hangar to scale, I reckon I would need another room for it.

Cluny she is coming along nicely, I am still sharing the painting between airbrush and hand painting as I seem to be getting the hang of the airbrushing technique so far, so being a bit more adventurous.

I bought the latest Model Airplane International and it has the Trumpeter 1/24 BF109 build, I am not sure how much is part of the kit and exactly how much he has scratch built, still impressive modelling which I don't think I could get even close to :( .

It is nice to get these magazines occasionally to keep up to date with new stuff and third party add ons/upgrades. It can be an expensive hobby, but then I suppose the same could be said about other hobbies/sporting interests.

So, the Victor is still in progress. DON'T BUY IT!!!! Nothing fits together, well I say nothing, some bits do fit together but when it comes to fitting those bits to other bits..........No Chance!!

I was also upset to hear that the airfix valiant has been put back to next year :(
NB; Any negative comments I post about the Vulcan are posted SOLELY to wind Gregg up!

Decided to have a break with the Sentry so here it is in position and when I have got a better set of photos from work I will try and get it done in the new colour scheme, or at least as close as I can. I had to make two of my own mushroom ariels on top, the black one came with the flightpath etch set. Might do the Jet provost T5 next once I have done some radiator covers for the wife :p

I was a tad concerned :D , but the model has an 85 gram weight in the nose and I reckon the whole lot weighs no more than 1 lb and I have given the hook a good tug and it stayed there, the line I used is 3 lb breaking strain fishing line. I still expect to come home one day and find it on the floor :(

It shouldn't be to much of a problem , I had a 1:48 B-1B Lancer hanging from my ceiling for a few years till It broke in half [the model , not the ceiling] ;)
